Pea
arrived to Europe from Minor Asia. People gorged with it already in
ancient times. There are even Roman recipes of pea dishes as old as
2000 years. Polish people especially took a liking to pea and it got
settled in old Polish cuisine very early (pea with mushrooms, pea soup
with Polish sausage). Dried pea possesses precious nutrition values
and is a product of a high-calorie. It contains as much as 20% of protein
and 60% of carbohydrates. Pea is advisable for people working physically
and for sportsmen.
